Local business expands reach with new sister company
Indianapolis, IN – Crosswind Pharmacy is set to open doors in January 2017 as the sister company of local pharmaceutical company, Northwind Pharmaceuticals. Crosswind will dispense and deliver medications to patients where they live, work, and seek medical care.
The Crosswind business model marries traditional pharmacy with alternate channel patient service through specialty medical practices. Crosswind will work closely with Northwind Pharmaceuticals to support worksite clinic customers with wholesale pharmacy services while also providing enhanced patient and clinic care services through specialty practices: medication therapy management, targeted patient intervention, and focused therapeutic support. Licensed as a closed-door pharmacy, Crosswind will mirror Northwind Pharmaceutical’s wholesale distribution footprint coast-to-coast.
Phillip Berry, CEO/Founder of Northwind Pharmaceuticals, founded Crosswind Pharmacy to expand the scope of current pharmaceutical operations while increasing overall value to existing and future clients. “From right here in Indianapolis, Crosswind Pharmacy enhances our ability to further reduce employer medication costs, complement the high-quality care delivered by our worksite clinic customers, and serve therapeutically focused medical practices across the country.”
Joining Crosswind Pharmacy as the Director of Pharmacy services is Dirk Harris, RPh. A graduate of Purdue University, Harris joined the Northwind Pharmaceuticals’ team in November 2016 to help complete the development of Crosswind. With over 28 years of pharmacy leadership experience, Harris brings deep clinical and management expertise to Crosswind. Harris will focus on marrying Northwind’s successful onsite dispensing model with Crosswind Pharmacy’s ability to bring high value pharmaceutical services closer to the patient.
