If you are prescribed an expensive specialty medication, this program may help you save money. The Pharmacy Concierge program is offered by CommuniCare to work on your behalf. Enrolling in the program may help lower your out of pocket costs.

Prior authorization helps patients receive the right prescription and the one that is most appropriate for their condition while being least likely to cause serious side effects. Prior authorization also helps ensure that the latest guidelines and most up-to-date recommendations are being taken into consideration as part of the treatment plan. Failure to obtain pre-authorization could result in a higher payment amount or lack of coverage for the medication. To start the review process, the prescribing physician (or their designee) should call the Clinical Team at 1-866-490-3636 Monday – Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (EST).
